Greg Forst
Name: Greg Forst
Induction Year: 2025
Category: Career Achievement in Support
Bio: Greg has served on the KFM Cancer Classic board since 2013. For more than half the existence of the event, Greg has put in excessive time managing, updating, and troubleshooting for the KFM website. In doing so, he has ensured KFM donors an efficient easy way to register and/or donate online. Greg has attended numerous Classics and remains a constant donor financially and with his valuable time.
Personal: Greg is a Louisville (KY) native and proud University of Dayton graduate. For more than 15 years, Greg has served as the Founder and Director at Baltoro, a digital marketing agency. He is also a founding partner of Go Immutable, where he is a general blockchain business consultant. Greg met his wife Gina at UD and they have 3 children (Avery, Quinn, Evelyn) and reside in Western Springs, IL.
Greg’s thoughts on Hall of Fame induction: Being inducted into the KFM Cancer Classic Hall of Fame is an incredible honor and deeply meaningful to me. The KFM Cancer Classic merges two things I hold dear: spending time with friends and family and making a positive impact on a worthy cause. Cancer has touched my family, as it has so many others, and being part of an event that raises critical funds and awareness while creating lasting memories for so many is truly special.
Since joining the board in 2013, I’ve been privileged to witness the incredible growth of this event and the joy it brings to participants year after year. The KFM Cancer Classic isn’t just about the money raised or the awareness spread—it’s about the connections formed, the laughter shared, and the hope inspired. It has become a tradition that so many look forward to, and I’m humbled to have played a role in its success.
This induction is not just a personal milestone but a reflection of the collective effort of everyone involved in the KFM Cancer Classic. I’m grateful to be part of an organization that combines fun, purpose, and community to fight a cause that affects us all. Thank you for this incredible recognition—it’s been an honor to contribute to something so impactful.
Scott Lutz / Old Orchard Lanes and Links
Name: Scott Lutz/Old Orchard Lanes and Links
Induction Year: 2025
Category: Career Achievement in Support
Bio: Scott has owned the Old Orchard Lanes and Links since 1992. His father worked at the bowling alley for 43 years, Scott has now worked there for 47. They added the miniature golf course in 2003. Since the KFM Cancer Classic first approached him to host the Classic in 2014, Scott and his all-star staff have served as the most cooperative and supportive amongst all venues. Each year, the course and bathrooms are thoroughly prepared and cleaned, the event adequately staffed, alcohol stocked, and banners hung. His crew goes through great pains to insert 30+ signs annually in advance of the event (by inserting stakes into limited ground space that is mostly covered in rock). His staff, led by Rich Kelly, supplies free water/popcorn for attendees, warmers for food, has taken pictures, and has always been easy to work with. Old Orchard has hosted more KFM's than any other venue (11).
Personal: Scott and his wife Rhonda have 4 children (Jordan, Nicholas, Lucas, Hallie) and currently have 6 grandchildren. In the rare free time Scott has, he enjoys fishing and listening to Cubs games.
Scott’s thoughts on Hall of Fame induction: I’m incredibly thankful for Kevin for starting and running such a great event every year. As well as choosing our mini golf course to host this wonderful fundraiser. I’m not exactly sure why I am worthy of being inducted because all I ever did was drank, ate the bacon wrapped dates with Richie, and laughed at some of the great costumes over the years. We are forever grateful for having the opportunity to be part of this event as Cancer has also touched our family as well as many others. Old Orchard is involved in many fundraisers throughout the year(s), but this one always amazed me with the way it’s ran and the support from all of the people involved and the sponsors. With that being said I’d like everyone to make sure that this final KFM Cancer classic is the best one. Cheers!
Jim Moeller
Name: Jim Moeller
Induction Year: 2025
Category: Embracing the Spirit
Bio: Jim has been a consistent gold club donor for most of the KFM Cancer Classic’s existence. Jim always takes his Gold Club donor level privilege very seriously and each year is deliberate in who he names a hole after. It is obvious that this exercise is very meaningful to him.
Many times, he has driven 4-5 hours to the tournament. He has won the KFM Cancer Classic, Rudy Flyer Award, and Best Dressed. He has drank from the HOF trophy, he has been the last man standing at the post party, and has recruited his parents and hometown friends to participate and support the Classic for decades. Jim also carries the unique distinction of being one of the few who attended the first KFM in 2001.
Personal: Jim is a proud Marion Local High School grad from Maria Stein, OH. He received his bachelors degree from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Wright State. He is currently a Manager of Engineering Services at Nidec Minster Corporation where he has worked since college. He and his wife Tammy have 4 children (Owen, Ashlyn, Isaac, Aliyah) and reside outside of Maria Stein, OH. Jim won ‘Top Flyer’ Award at his elementary school in 1992.
When Jim & Tammy were married in 2002, they donated a portion of their wedding funds to the KFM Cancer Classic.
Jim’s thoughts on Hall of Fame induction: I am extremely grateful to receive such a prestigious honor. Getting inducted into the KFMCC HOF is a dream come true. While I feel like I should thank Kevin first, it is the University of Dayton Housing Department that I must thank first and foremost. If I did not end up living a few doors down from Kevin in the north hall of the first floor of Founders Hall in 1996, I can’t imagine I would be receiving this distinguished award. But seriously, thanks Kevin for being such a great friend to me and so many. Part of what makes Kevin such a great friend is his willingness to give back and nothing says giving back like the KFMCC.
I have had so many great experiences at the KFMCC. I was fortunate to be at the inaugural event on a rainy Saturday in Cincinnati. My wife and I were literally the last ones to show up. As a result my wife got the dubious honor of filling out the oversized check that Kevin is so fond of. I have fond memories of winning best dressed once in Chicago and being with friends at some amazing after parties. While I was lucky enough to win the KFMCC once, the highlight to me was being picked up by my college friend John Megyimori as the winning putt went in on that fateful playoff hole. Even my parents and other friends have made the trip to Savoy to partake in the madness. The fact that Kevin allows us to have holes dedicated to survivors and those who did not make it has allowed me to share his message with so many people who do not even know him. The KFMCC is really about friends and family coming together with others for a great cause. From its humble beginnings, to what it has become now, is a credit to both Kevin’s hard work and people’s hatred for cancer. While it is a shame that it is coming to an end, I am so grateful to have been a part of it and helped other be a part it.
Thanks again Rev (that is not a spelling mistake) for all you have done these past 25 years. What a great run for such a great cause!
